Resident Evil Village, the most recent original installment in the storied franchise, is coming out on Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus on January 20.

This could be the perfect opportunity for you to get back into the series ahead of the release of Resident Evil Requiem on February 27.

Set a few years after Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, the storyline features the return of Ethan Winters and his wife Mia, who, for once, are living peacefully with their newborn daughter. But just as they think that their past nightmares are behind them, they are plagued by tragedy once again.

The game was well received by critics, who praised the variety of gameplay and the diversity of horror ideas that are displayed throughout the story. 

It also won Steam’s Game of the Year in 2021, and was nominated for the same award at The Game Awards.
