Pragmatic Play brings Gates of Olympus back with a new POP variant
Pragmatic Play has reworked one of its most recognizable franchises with Gates of Olympus POP, the first classic title to be transformed under its newly launched Pragmatic Play POP sub-brand.
The new release takes the familiar Gates of Olympus formula and squeezes it into a compact 3×5 portrait grid, complete with a miniature Zeus watching over the action.
Despite the smaller look and feel, many of the original game’s core mechanics remain intact. Tumbling reels return alongside multiplier symbols worth up to 1,000x, keeping the focus firmly on building increasingly valuable wins across successive combinations.
Free Spins can award instant prizes up to 25,000x
Landing three or more Scatter symbols triggers the Bonus Game and awards 15 Free Spins.
During the feature, landing another two or more Scatters provides five additional spins, giving the round the chance to continue for considerably longer.
Winning multipliers are also added to a progressive total throughout each tumbling sequence. Once no further wins are available, that accumulated multiplier is applied to the final payout.
Gates of Olympus POP adds another wrinkle through its new POP symbols.
If the Bonus Game is triggered while one POP symbol is visible alongside the required Scatters, you will immediately receive an additional 50x prize.
Two POP symbols increase that instant award to 500x, while landing three alongside the Bonus trigger pays a much more substantial 25,000x.
As previously alluded to, the release is essentially the beginning of a wider series of Pragmatic Play classics being reimagined through the POP format, which is designed around more streamlined, portrait-style gameplay.
Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play, said Gates of Olympus POP takes one of the supplier’s best-known franchises and adapts it into a faster, more intuitive format.
McHugh added that the combination of progressive multipliers, instant prizes worth up to 25,000x and Zeus’ new visual style gives the title something for both existing Gates of Olympus fans and players discovering the series for the first time.
