There’s no question that Resident Evil games are gruesomely pretty, whether that be new iterations of the franchise or the remakes.

Resident Evil Requiem is no different, and every trailer for the game has shown off that you can, in fact, make a grimy horror game look very aesthetically pleasing.

But, do you need a beast of a PC in order to run it, or has Capcom done wonders akin to that of Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert, with system requirements being much lower than you might expect?

What are the Resident Evil Requiem system requirements?

Below are both the minimum and recommended system requirements for Resident Evil Requiem.

Without spoiling too much, you’re probably going to be safe if you’ve had your PC for a few years, which is likely music to your ears.

Resident Evil Requiem minimum system requirements

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit required)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3500
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1660 6GB /  Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB
  • DirectX: Version 12

Resident Evil Requiem recommended system requirements

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit required)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: GeForce RTX 2060 Super 8GB / Radeon RX 6600 8GB
  • DirectX: Version 12

As you can see from the system requirements above for both minimum and recommended, you’ll actually get away with older generation tech if you want to play Requiem. Thankfully, 16 GB of RAM is the limit too, because this day in age if you want to upgrade it’s probably going to cost you more than a GPU would.

Obviously, these are a bit of a jump from that of Resident Evil Village but since that game is almost five years old at the time of Requiem’s launch, that makes sense. However, it’s much less of an increase than other franchises, so well done Capcom.

Now you can get your pre-order in without worrying if your system is going to handle some more monster slaying from Leon.
