If you’re looking for Pirate Shipwrecks in OSRS here’s where to find them

Sailing in OSRS has injected some exploration and mystery into the game that long time players have been looking for. You’re able to roam the high seas in search of new enemies to take on and loot to plunder.

There are Shipwrecks you can come across, too, showing you that it’s literally not always plain sailing in Gielinor.

The Pirate Shipwrecks are particularly interesting not only because of the Jolly Rodger poking out of the water but you can grab some salvage if you’re at the right Sailing level.

Here’s where to find them.

Pirate Shipwreck locations in OSRS

As previously mentioned, Pirate Shipwrecks are one type of Shipwreck in OSRS akin to that of the Fisherman’s, Barracuda variants.

At level 64, you’ll be able to deploy that all-important Salvaging Hook on them, allowing you the opportunity to secure some Plundered Salvage. You can get Plundered Salvage from defeating the likes of an Armoured Kraken or Spined Kraken, but other than that, locating and salvaging Pirate Shipwrecks is the only other method.

As for where to find Pirate Shipwrecks, there are in fact a few different spots you can head to on your travels.

The first of these is south-east of Yanille Chain, where there should be four different Pirate Shipwreck spots ready for you to salvage. See the map image below for a more precise idea of their location.

The second is south-east of Buccaneer’s Haven, where you can find three different Pirate Shipwrecks. Again, for a better idea of exactly where to look, check out the map below.

Once you’ve fully salvaged the wreck, it will then turn into a Sunken Shipwreck, which you will have definitely encountered at a lower level.

Remember, the better your Salvaging Hook, the more chance you’re going to get the Plundered Salvage, so ensure you’re equipped with the highest tier and your Crewmates have some serious Deckhandiness. Maybe you’ll pick up a Sailors’ Amulet in the process if you don’t have one already!
