When you get into a PvP-heavy game that also has a huge reliance on survival, like Arc Raiders, you’re going to need the best weapons in your arsenal to hopefully ensure you don’t go down instantly.

While the usual go-tos are long-range automatic guns, there is this one pistol in Arc Raiders that may trump them all. This is the Venator, and you should get one before Embark patches it.

The Arc Raiders Venator may be the most broken gun in the game

There are a few pistols on offer in Arc Raiders, with many opting for the Anvil due to its hard-hitting shots, akin to those of Magnum-type guns from other titles. However, where you should be putting your attention is the Venator.

On the face of it, the Venator looks to be a simple semi-auto pistol that might be good as a secondary, but you should be very much using it as your primary killing machine.

As stated by elite gaming robot (also known as Shroud), the Venator is “broken”, downing other raiders and various Arc extremely quickly. Others have uploaded footage of the Venator doing what it does best, and even from long range, too, something you wouldn’t really expect from a pistol.

What we would say, though, is that you’re best off with the Venator II onwards, as the increased fire rate is key to getting enough shots off, and works hand in hand with the two bullets that fire off per trigger pull.

How to get the Venator in Arc Raiders

Now, to secure the Venator for yourself, there are a few hoops to jump through.

You’ll need to have the Gunsmith Station made in your room and have upgraded it to tier 2 to have access to the Venator, if you’ve found the blueprint. You’ll then need 2x Advanced Mechanical Components, 3x Medium Gun Parts, and 5x Magnets in order to craft the base version.

To upgrade, you’ll need Advanced Mechanical Components and Medium Gun Parts again, so be on the lookout for those on your looting escapades.

You could always find both the blueprint and the gun itself out in the wild by looting containers or off other raiders, but the latter is like looking for a needle in a haystack, so getting the blueprint and upgrading crafting is your best solution.
