Deluxe Edition for action-adventure The Sinking City is available for just $5 on Switch

Over the past few months, we have been treated to some brilliant deals on our favourite Nintendo Switch titles. This time, Nintendo are giving us a phenomenal deal on The Sinking City.

Originally $65, the Deluxe Edition is now available for just $5 on the Nintendo Store until February 10.

With its sequel set to come out this year, it could be the perfect time to be introduced to the series.

What is the plot for The Sinking City?

Set in 1920s America, you play as Charles W. Reed, a former U.S. Navy officer and war veteran turned private investigator who travels to the fictional, coastal city of Oakmont. After being plagued by disturbing visions and nightmares of strange creatures and a drowned city, Charles must explore the source of his visions when they become reality. 

Oakmont becomes flooded following a mysterious supernatural flood. This flood has also brought about strange monsters called Wylebeasts, causing the city to go into uproar. Can Charles uncover what has caused this once sleepy city to turn into chaos? 

The beautiful open-world setting mixed with the clue-hunting that you have to undergo, makes it a fun adventure title. We gave it 3.5 stars out of 5 when we reviewed it on launch back in 2019.

Even better, there is a high replayable element to the title, since there are multiple endings available for you to explore. 

What is included in the Deluxe Edition?

• Chicago Organ Grinder – This DLC grants early access to the most powerful weapon in the game, the Tommy gun, and comes with a golden skin of the weapon.
• Experience Boost – This DLC includes a skill point that can be used from the start of the game. Use it wisely to upgrade your combat skills, vigor or mind.
