Crimson Desert, just like other open-world RPG-like games, requires you to earn a little cash here and there in order to purchase goods, weapons, and armor.

Usually, you have to do some gruelling or tedious tasks to up your money stores, but if you’re feeling a little devious, you can do a little light-fingered antics and pick up a Gold Bar to exchange for a bunch of coin.

What’s more, you can get this done early on, making the way for quick cash or long-term gains.

Nab a Gold Bar early in Crimson Desert for easy money

If you want to circumvent the system and do little to no work for some money in Crimson Desert, you’ve come to the right place.

Gold Bars fetch a pretty penny in Pywel, and you can ‘acquire’ one early on in your playthrough, enabling you to either trade it for cold hard cash, or throw it in the bank and play the longer investment game.

To get this Gold Bar, you’ll need to have made it to Lioncrest Manor and know how to get inside. If you’re struggling with that, since it’s guarded, just head to the back of the building and climb up the wall. Here, there should be a window that you can open and hop inside.

Once you’re in, equip a mask and go down the staircase. On your left should be a fireplace with a stone lion’s head above it. Go straight up to it and hold Ctrl/LB/LT, and you should have the option to steal.

Select steal and Kliff will rummage under the top of the fireplace and come out with a shiny Gold Bar.

Just make sure there are no guards lurking around, otherwise you’ll get caught red-handed. To help with this, if you complete Bruna’s Request, there will be fewer NPCs to deal with, so keep that in mind for an easier ride.

Now you can do with the Gold Bar as you please. You’ve got the option to cash it in and receive 500 Silver, or open a bank account and invest it, potentially giving you better returns in the long run.
