This Star Wars Starfield mod takes the game far, far away from the original experience
There has been a real demand for a new, great Star Wars RPG, allowing you to take on another story in the rich universe. While we’ve got Fate of the Old Republic, KOTOR’s spiritual successor, on the way, this will take some time to develop, leaving a real hankering for a game of this ilk.
If you simply cannot wait for Fate of the Old Republic, you can install this incredible Star Wars Genesis Starfield mod that completely changes the original game, and may potentially fulfil your Bounty Hunter dreams.
What is the Star Wars Genesis Starfield mod?
If you’ve played a little of Starfield, either back when it first released or after it received a few updates, you might have found yourself itching for a little more ‘Star Wars’ in the experience.
Now you can have what is essentially a complete rework of the original game in Star Wars form, thanks to the incredible Star Wars Genesis mod set.
It is heavily inspired by Star Wars Galaxies, KOTOR, and Legends, with Genesis pitching itself as a sprawling Star Wars RPG “unlike anything else”. We certainly have to agree with this sentiment due to the sheer amount of new content included – it’s nothing like a simple reskin.
If you choose to install, you’ll be able to roam Tatooine (hunt Tusken Raiders or trade with Jawas), navigate Coruscant’s underworld, or even serve the Empire (if you’re that way inclined). For you Mandalorian lovers, you can chase rare recipes on Mandalore itself, and clash with syndicates like the Pykes and Hutt Cartel.
It does all of this by adding in exclusive content of new factions and bosses, completely original quests, handcrafted locations (like the aforementioned Coruscant and Mandalore sites), a custom HUD, and themed music.
It doesn’t stop there, either, with new updates coming to the experience. Yes, this includes Lightsabers, which are coming in the next patch.
What’s absolutely incredible about Star Wars Genesis is that it is 100% free, so you can just get everything downloaded and installed without paying a penny for basically a brand new game.
How to install the Star Wars Genesis Starfield mod
If you do want to net Star Wars Genesis for yourself, what we recommend is going to the official website and following the correct steps from there.
This will involve you using the Wabbajack automated modlist installer which is almost a necessity since Genesis is a package of over 300 mods. This modlist is over 100 GB itself so you’ll definitely need over 300 GB of free space total for Starfield, Genesis, and texture upgrades.
There are system requirements, too, which you can take a look at in the image below. These are different to that of the original Starfield, so keep that in mind.
