In an exciting new twist to the horror game genre, Brazilian independent publisher and studio QUByte Interactive, in collaboration with High Room Game Studio, introduces Saborus, a unique horror game where the player takes on the role of a chicken seeking to escape the grim reality of an industrial slaughterhouse. The game was conceived by Jean Lima, a developer from a small town in northern Brazil, who was inspired by the loss of his pet chicken.

Saborus is a distinctive horror and suspense game that places the player in the vulnerable position of a chicken trapped in a slaughterhouse owned by a large food corporation. The player must navigate through a terrifying environment, solving puzzles and using objects to escape death. The game is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

The game has attracted considerable attention since its early development stages in 2023 and is now in the final stretch. It was selected in the horror category for the OTK Games Expo event, a North American initiative aimed at showcasing compelling independent games developed by small teams and studios. The demo version of Saborus was available for two days during the OTK Games Expo. For a sneak peek into the game, check out the new trailer:

The game is currently undergoing quality testing and porting for consoles, and the release date will be announced soon. You can keep an eye out for Saborus on Steam.
