Playson powers up Coin Strike XXL with returning MULTICOIN mechanic

Playson has brought back its MULTICOIN mechanic for Coin Strike XXL: Multicoin, giving one of the supplier’s most popular series a new multiplier-heavy upgrade.

The mechanic, which previously appeared in Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin, is triggered when a lightning-marked MULTICOIN symbol lands alongside any regular Coin symbol.

Once activated, every Coin value currently visible is collected before a random multiplier of up to 20x is applied to the total, potentially turning a relatively modest collection into something considerably more valuable.

There is also another route into the feature during the base game. If Coin symbols land without a MULTICOIN present, one can be randomly added to reel two, either triggering the MULTICOIN mechanic immediately or helping pave the way towards the Bonus Game.

Strike Coins and MULTICOINS combine in the Bonus Game

The returning Collect Feature is activated by landing a Strike Coin alongside any Coin symbol.

When this happens, the Strike Coin gathers the value of every Coin currently on screen, including Jackpot Coins, before adding the total to the current win.

Four fixed jackpots can be triggered through corresponding coloured Jackpot Coins during both the MULTICOIN and Collect Features. These start with the 15x Mini and climb all the way to the 1,000x Grand.

The main Bonus Game is activated when Coin symbols land on reels one and three alongside either a Strike Coin or MULTICOIN.

During the feature, only Coins, sticky Strike Coins and sticky MULTICOINS appear. You begin with three respins, with every new symbol resetting the counter back to three.

Once the spins eventually run out, the values collected by all Strike Coins and MULTICOINS are added to the final prize.

Playson has also included its Pile of Gold feature, which can randomly activate whenever a Coin lands. This adds multiple Coins, Strike Coins or MULTICOINS to the reels and can trigger the Bonus Game outright.

Two Bonus Buy options are available alongside Extra Bet Features. One doubles the chance of entering the bonus, while the stronger option guarantees either a Strike Coin or MULTICOIN every spin and triples the Bonus Game trigger chance.
