No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 delayed to March 2027
If you were hoping to dive into the full release of No Rest for the Wicked this October, you’re sadly going to have to wait a little longer, as Moon Studios has officially delayed the 1.0 launch.
Originally scheduled to arrive in October 2026, No Rest for the Wicked will now launch in March 2027 on PC and PS5, with the developer opting to give the game some additional time in the oven.
Release dates for the Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are still to be determined, so there could be an even longer wait ahead for those platforms.
According to Moon Studios, the extra development time will be used to improve overall performance, tighten up the class system, and give the 1.0 version another layer of polish before it heads out the door.
There is at least something to soften the blow, though.
Moon Studios plans to run additional closed betas over the coming months, followed by an additional open beta in December 2026. These will give you another opportunity to get accustomed to the mechanics before the delayed launch, while also providing feedback during the final stretch of development.
Creative Director Thomas Mahler has also discussed the delay in a new community video, with further development updates set to continue through Moon Studios’ ongoing Wicked Inside developer diary series.
The delay also brings some good news for anyone who hasn’t picked up the game yet but wants its Founders Pack.
Previously, PC players had until July 10 to purchase No Rest for the Wicked and qualify for the bonus pack. That deadline has thankfully been extended to January 1, 2027, with anyone who bought the game after the original cut off being included retroactively.
PS5 pre-orders are also expected to open in January, with those of you taking this platform route to receive the Founders Pack too, so don’t worry about missing out there.
