LUNA: The Shadow Dust offers a journey into an enchanted world draped in darkness due to the moon going dark. Players join a young boy on his quest to recover lost memories, restore the light, and uncover the dark secret that lies beyond the ancient tower at the edge of the world. The game is a fully hand-animated Point & Click puzzle adventure, brought to life through wordless storytelling, beautiful cinematics, and a breathtaking original soundtrack.
The game features traditional frame-by-frame character animation with 12 frames per second, 3 layers per frame. Over 250 animations and 20 minutes of cinematics make it a visual treat. The game also offers a single-player mode with dual-character control, where players coordinate between the boy and his mysterious companion. The game boasts a series of standalone puzzles set in gorgeous hand-drawn environments, thus eliminating the need for pixel hunts or backtracking.
LUNA: The Shadow Dust was first released for PC, Mac, and Linux in 2020 and was the first game from Lantern Studio, a four-person indie team based in London, Toronto, and Shanghai. The game has received 90% positive user reviews on Steam based on 1,200+ reviews.
