Crimson Desert’s Darkbringer might be the best sword in Pywel, and here’s how to get it
Crimson Desert is a massive game with a plethora of different weapons to acquire along the way.
Some of these are your run-of-the-mill swords, spears, or axes, but there are also some unique weapons that offer a little more oomph when taking down your adversaries.
One such sword is Darkbringer which is a two-handed variant that some are touting as being potentially one of the best swords in the game.
Where to find Darkbringer in Crimson Desert
Just like the Frozen Anguish, which is also a top-tier two-handed sword in Crimson Desert, you’ll need to be heading north into the snow in order to pick up Darkbringer.
However, instead of going to the Demeniss region, you’ll need to make your way to the top of Pailune. More specifically, the White Wastes Sanctuary, located in the north west.
There is an Abyss Nexus fast travel point in the Path of Trials sky island just above where you need to go, which you may already have if you’ve acquired Frost magic.
From here, you can just fly down and land on a small stone bridge between a large chasm, which conveniently also has a fast travel point you can pick up if you don’t have it already.
Now, just look to the sky, and there should be a few crows circling. Go toward these, and you should see a giant skeleton in the ground.
You can get some lore about it, but if you’re just worried about the all-important Darkbringer, simply mosey on down to the skull and under its jaw should be the sword all ready for you to slot into your inventory.
Yes, that’s right, no hard fight to get it, just a little bit of exploration and one of the best weapons in the game is yours.
You can even do this early on in your playthrough if you wish. That is, if you want to trek all the way up there on a horse.
