Dark & Deep: A Cosmic Horror Awaits in Steam Next Fest
The gaming world is set to be plunged into an abyss of cosmic horror as Dark & Deep prepares to premiere its new demo during the much-anticipated Steam Next Fest. The game, inspired by the bold visual storytelling style of A24 films like “The Lighthouse”, “Midsommar”, and “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, is set to captivate players with its unique blend of suspense, mystery, and atmospheric horror.
The demo, which promises to be a tantalizing taste of the full game, is available exclusively during Next Fest. You can add Dark & Deep to your watchlist on Steam to receive all the latest updates about this intriguing game. For a sneak peek of what's to come, check out the announcement trailer:
Dark & Deep is an unconventional horror game, eschewing jump scares in favor of creating a deeply atmospheric and surreal experience. The game's artwork, crafted from the illustrations of legendary 1800’s artist Gustave Doré, adds a layer of eerie beauty that sets it apart from other titles in the genre. Players will step into the shoes of Samuel Judge, an underachieving IT worker who finds himself caught up in a paranormal conspiracy that threatens to unravel everything.
Created by solo developer Walter Woods, Dark & Deep is set to begin haunting your Steam library in August 2024. Woods, who began his career as an architect before transitioning to game development, has brought his unique perspective and extensive knowledge of art history to this unique horror title. Don't miss the chance to experience the cosmic horror of Dark & Deep at Steam's Next Fest, running from June 10th – 17th 2024.
