How does the Flickering Flames event work in Arc Raiders’ winter update?

The latest Arc Raiders update brings with it a bit of a frosty atmosphere in more ways than one, making you seek the Topside interiors for a potential brief bit of respite.

Alongside the freezing temperatures is the Flickering Flames event, adding a bit of warmth to the Speranza Holidays, complete with some nice little gifts for taking part.

Here’s how the event works and what you’ll receive in return, so you can get to taking part in the Speranzian tradition.

Arc Raiders Flickering Flames event explained

Flickering Flames is a limited-time event that brings yet more content to Arc Raiders, akin to that of the Staking Our Claim event that came alongside the unlocking of Stella Montis.

This time, however, you’re looking at a 25-level rewards track that includes new gear, additional customization options, and Raider Tokens by earning Merits.

You will have needed to play at least five Raid rounds in order to take part in Flickering Flames, which you have likely boxed off if you’ve played for at least a couple of hours. Not a huge requirement to earn new rewards for braving the wintry Rust Belt conditions.

Running alongside the track is the Candleberry Banquet Project, which takes you on a communal scavenge to make things a little cozier in the metal tubes of Speranza.

You’ll be heading Topside to gather Candleberries and unique winter items to add to the banquet. Doing so will progress you through five stages, each one revealing a new scene at the banquet table, while also granting rewards such as cosmetic items, Raider Tokens and Merits. What’s nice is that those Merits feed back into the Flickering Flames rewards track, so the banquet effectively powers your event progress while you stockpile winter goodies.

Both Flickering Flames and the Candleberry Banquet Project go live when the Cold Snap update launches on December 16, 2025 and continues through January 13, 2026.
