There’s no question that the Arc Raiders Expedition requirements are rough, making you head Topside over and over to get enough materials to commit to the Project.

If you took one look at Arc Raiders’ first Expedition rewards and thought I’m not sacrificing my entire stash and grinding like it’s my second job, you weren’t alone.

After a lot of unhappy raiders, Embark Studios has definitely got the message because the second Expedition is being reworked to be less punishing and way easier to understand before you commit.

What’s changed in the second Arc Raiders Expedition Project?

The headline tweak is that the Stash value requirement for maximum Skill Points has been lowered to 3 million Coins, which works out to 600,000 Coins per Skill Point (with 5 Skill Points available from this Expedition’s baseline rewards).

This is a massive quality of life win since the first Expedition asked you to save up the GDP of a small country (5 million Coins) to secure all additional Skill Points.

If you didn’t earn all those Skill Points during the first Expedition, there is also a Skill Point catch-up system that lets you reclaim what you missed for 300,000 Stash value per missing Skill Point.

Even better, when you depart, your Coins will first count toward second Expedition Skill Points, then roll over into the catch-up pool for anything you missed from the first one.

What are the new Expedition rewards?

As previously alluded to, Embark also laid out what carries over (and what doesn’t) in a much cleaner way.

If you’re departing on your second Expedition, you can earn 24 Stash slots, an evolved version of the Patchwork outfit, new Scrappy cosmetics, and an upgraded Expedition Indicator icon.

As for the buffs you’ll receive, these will now stack. If you choose to depart on consecutive Expeditions, you’ll increase the XP boost from 5% to 10%, Scrappy’s material boost will go from 6% to 12%, and repair value will gain an additional increase from 60% to 70%.

Obviously, the catch is that if you don’t depart again, those stacked buffs reset, and you’ll be back at square one.

If the first Expedition felt like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the new tweaks for the second one are much more attainable and likely something that will make you more likely to want to strive toward.

The second Expedition opens on February 25, with departure occurring March 1, so you do have a bit of time to get hoarding before the window.
