Incoming is sci-fi adventure Bot Colony _redux, which allows you to fully voice your character without resorting to dialogue trees. Now, you may not know what that means exactly, but the game is a story-driven adventure where the conversation isn’t just flavour – it is the gameplay. You speak naturally to characters, and they understand you. They’ll answer your questions, follow your commands, or surprise you with their own thoughts. And the talking is all done to robots on a Pacific island set in 2032, which , well that’s not too far off anyway!

Now that all sounds a little sci-fi in itself, we are sure you will agree, and not surprisingly, the game uses cutting-edge AI and speech tech (Azure speech-to-text, GPT‑5, Elevenlabs’ emotive speech) to make sure the interactions feel natural and responsive.

The game is a modern remake of 2014’s Bot Colony, which the devs at North Side say, “was ahead of its time; the tech just wasn’t ready for the vision we had. We never stopped chasing it. Now, in 2025, Bot Colony _redux finally delivers what we dreamed of: a future sci-fi narrative you can play using unrestricted speech, talking to nuanced characters who respond with intelligence, humour, and emotion. The game is free to download and try out, but that gen AI is going to need funding, so there is a usage-based currency system if you want to delve further.
