Wholesome adventure Pine Hearts launches today on iOS and Android
Wholesome adventure Pine Hearts is launching today on iOS and Android, letting you take a nostalgic trip around the Scottish Highlands wherever you are in the real world, all via that little computer you carry around in your pocket every day.
So what is Pine Hearts? Well, according to the press, “Pine Hearts is a cozy adventure game about fulfilling a childhood dream that began at Pine Hearts Caravan Park, based on the developer’s own memories of holidays in Scotland. Players will join Tyke as he explores campgrounds, caves, castles, and more, helping his fellow explorers and reminiscing on years gone by.”
Before splurging on the full price product (oh come on, it’s less than five dollars, help a dev out), there is a demo which gives you around 20 minutes of the gameplay as you explore Reflection Point and the Campsite.
To celebrate the launch, Secret Mode is giving away a selection of merch sure to make any Pine Hearts fan a happy camper. One lucky winner will be able to take to the trails with a new T-shirt, beanie, mug, and much more – keep an eye on the Pine Hearts account on X for more info on how to enter later today.
I love little games like this, based on the memories of developers growing up. While words such as wholesome and heartwarming may put you off, maybe that’s a you problem.
Pine Hearts is available now on iOS and Android as a free trial download, with a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full game priced at $4.99/£4.99/€4.99.
It is also available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch.
