The Well of Essenwood – Little Bo Peep and Red Riding Hood are coming out to play

3 Wishes Games has just released its new action-adventure, The Well of Essenwood, and if you aren’t one of those people who fairy tales creep the hell out of (spoiler, I am a bit), then this will be right up your alley. It’s not often we get the chance to play Little Red Riding Hood or Little Bo Peep in a game, which is weird, really, because you would think they would be ripe for a sinister adventure or two. Still, for now at least, you can sate that thirst and take the girls out on “intersecting quests that blend bravery, puzzle-solving, and friendship.” Guided by The Fairy Godmother, obviously, and armed with unique magical abilities, they must battle mutated creatures, unravel secrets, and protect the Well from a sinister threat. They confront wolves and other creatures tainted by dark magic, utilizing their special abilities to solve puzzles, unveil secrets, and overcome obstacles strewn across their path.

The game’s Steam page describes The Well of Essenwood thus: “Embark on an enchanting journey in a medieval fairytale land. Play as two main characters, Red Riding Hood and Bo-Peep. Each begins their own adventure, and eventually unite to unravel a sinister plot to seize the magical well in the Essenwoods, which contains the very essence of magic in the land,” and as you can see from the trailer, while not exactly triple A, there are some interesting premises in here.
