LOST IN THE ROOTS

Trioskaz Studio, which has previously brought us No, I’m not a Human, has just announced a new 2D adventure, alongside a Steam playtest that you can join and help shape the final product.

Lost in the Roots sees you step into the shoes of Trisha, a young girl who awakens trapped in a strange house encircled by barbed wire and watched over by surveillance cameras. Forced to take mysterious medication by a captor named Yakob, Trisha soon realizes that escape might be nothing more than a cruel illusion.

As you guide Trisha through eerie abandoned research stations, ominous catacombs, dense foreboding woods, and ghostly deserted towns, you’ll piece together the dark puzzle of who she really is, what Yakob’s true guilt hides, and the nightmarish secrets of the forest itself. Every step forward tightens the grip of a twisted, enigmatic world – one that challenges not just your wits but your very sense of reality.

As you can see if you watch the trailer above, this looks really rather cool, and we will bring you more after playing through the playtest, once we get access from the devs. There is no release date as yet with the game on Steam, merely saying it is to be announced, but you can request access to the Playtest ahead of the game’s release by clicking on the green button when you visit Lost in the Roots’ Steam page.
