Okay so, this is a bit mad, a cricket-based sci-fi puzzle game now has its demo out, yes you read that correctly

You do get some crazy scenarios in the adventure game genre more than most, it seems, and if you needed perfect proof of that, then all you need to do is check out Puzzle Parasite from Wrenfall. Now, right from the off, any game called Puzzle Parasite you would not normally expect to be described as “a Sci-Fi Cricket Puzzle Game”. One of those words in there I did not expect.

By this point, your eyes may have drifted up to the image above and clocked the spaceman with a cricket bat. Yes, cricket is actually part od trhis sci-fi adventure game.

Developed by Wrenfall, a new indie development team formed of seasoned industry veterans previously from Playdead, Ubisoft, Square Enix, IO Interactive, MachineGames, and Riot Games, PUZZLE PARASITE is a narrative-driven, cricket bat-wielding, physics puzzle adventure where every solution brings you closer to doom.

Using a vintage cricket bat and alien technology, journey into alien ruins to explore the mysterious planet and solve brain-stomping, physics-based puzzles in a single-player campaign. Or team up with a friend in a bespoke co-op campaign, featuring unique puzzle challenges intricately designed for two players.
