Indie reality-breaking adventure Psych Rift announced for PC and consoles

Psych Rift is a new single-player adventure game set in a secret research facility overtaken by a dark entity, where you must survive reality-breaking encounters, terrifying monsters, and impossible mazes. Avoid deadly traps, solve puzzles with physics, and employ peculiar devices in a one-of-a-kind adventure, and it seems to take its inspiration from a multitude of different source materials.

Ablaze Interactive is billing the games as: “Psych Rift is a single-player action-adventure game set in a secret research facility overtaken by a dark entity, where you must survive reality-breaking encounters, terrifying monsters, and impossible mazes. Avoid deadly traps, solve puzzles with physics, and employ peculiar devices in a one-of-a-kind adventure.

“I want Psych Rift to feel completely unpredictable, like stepping into a lucid nightmare, where you never know what is going to happen next,” said Tiberiu Stefan, creator of Psych Rift.

Psych Rift challenges players to survive and outsmart the horrors that dwell within the facility. You’ll use stealth, environmental manipulation, and strange experimental devices to solve intricate physics-based puzzles and evade monstrosities lurking in the dark.

The game is currently in early development, but already has a Steam page where you can wishlist it to follow its progress over the coming months. The intention is to launch the final version on both PC and consoles, but as yet, there is no indication of an actual release date.
