Immersive Maze Adventure Go North Drops New Demo and Trailer
Hailing from Nigeria, one-man dev studio Gazuntype has released a new demo and trailer for the excellent-looking adventure game Go North.
The premise of Go North is simple enough: Unearth lost items forgotten by time, imbued with a mixture of magic and technology. Send flying mystical birds into the sky to scout for paths, or fly up into the air in a bubble to get a lay of the land with your own eyes. Use magical powder to lead towards the exit, drop abandoned street signs as breadcrumbs, speed around on a hoverboard, and utilize any other found remnants of civilization to reach the goal. Just remember: always go north.
“Whether you’re looking for a relaxing experience or you’re a daring speedrunner, Go North has so much to offer,” said Tade Ajiboye, owner of gazuntype. “If you want to take all the time in the world to search every nook and cranny, you will be rewarded with rare items. If you want to find the nearest hoverboard and speed to the exit faster than anyone else, you can do that, too.”
Taking his inspiration from adventure classics like Journey (in my opinion, one of the best games of all time), Tade is highlighting the gaming creativity coming out of West Africa. Go North is going to be a hit, we think, so make sure you check out the demo after watching the trailer below.
Go North is planned for launch in Q1 2026 on PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions on the way.
