Hand-crafted side-scrolling adventure Afterdream out now on PlayStation 5

Games publisher Funbox Media Ltd has announced that Afterdream, a hand-crafted 2D side-scrolling adventure, is now available on PlayStation 5. The game was released on Steam back in September 2023, but this will now be the first opportunity to play the side-scrolling horror adventure on a Sony console – the game was also released on Switch in 2024.

Based in Chesterfield, UK, Funbox says, “Afterdream draws players into a lucid nightmare where the boundaries between reality and fiction blur. Enter a lucid nightmare. A haunted camera. A forgotten house. The deeper you go, the stranger it gets… Puzzle-solving lies at the heart of the experience. Afterdream has a very positive rating on Steam, which is not the easiest thing to achieve for a small indie adventure, so if you are looking for a new adventure to get your PS5’s teeth into, this is definitely worth taking a closer look at.
