Dyer Expedition

When your base material is H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness, you can definitely assume that the premise for your new puzzle game is going to be creepy and full of uncovering chilling secrets.  Step forward, Syer Adventure, a new puzzle adventure that has just been released on Steam by one-person developer Monkeys With Jobs, based in Austria.

Dyer Expedition has been in development solidly for three and a half years and marks the debut release for the dev and sees you traverse Antarctica, uncovering secrets where “Lovecraftian horror meets scientific expedition gone wrong.”

In 1931, Professor William Dyer’s Antarctic expedition vanished into the ice. With only two days before your escape route abandons you to the frozen wasteland, the truth lies buried in the desolate ruins of their camp. Each puzzle guards another step deeper into mysteries that perhaps should have remained entombed beneath ancient ice.

With solid reviews on Steam right now, this little adventure will only set you back $7.99/£6.69/€7.79 and comes with a 10% launch discount. So if you are the kind of player who likes to help out new devs and reward them for their hard work, take a look at the trailer below and see if Dyer Expedition is for you.

Key Features:

  • Explore the frozen ruins of a lost Antarctic expedition
  • Solve atmospheric puzzles that guard forbidden knowledge
  • Experience a story drawn from Lovecraft’s most haunting vision
  • Choose optional retro visual modes for classic adventure aesthetics
  • Original haunting soundtrack that echoes across the ice
