Roguelike bingo, where you make the calls? Sign me up! Although the Bingo Betty roguelike isn’t as simple as that, because there’s the unpredictability of bingo mixed with having to reach certain targets. There’s the opportunity to create chaotic chains and shoot for even the highest scores, even if you are playing as a senior citizen.

We’ve got a round-up of all the key Bingo Betty features, so you’re ready for success when you hit the bingo halls and begin your journey to take Betty and friends to bingo glory.

What is Bingo Betty?

Finding success in the Bingo Betty game revolves around reaching a goal score assigned to each round without running out of draws. Each draw grants you balls to place on your bingo card, and if you run out of draws before reaching the goal score, it’s game over. Before a run starts, you pick a senior citizen to play as, but the character you choose doesn’t seem to come with extra gameplay effects, which feels like a missed opportunity to experiment with even more bonuses.

How you score in Bingo Betty gameplay is based on filling spaces with the balls you draw to complete lines and score points. The only way to score points is by completing bingos, which is completing a row, column, or diagonal line, or through the help of special items. Achieving a bingo adds all its numbers together and has the potential to activate a multiplier. If three or more balls in a line share the same color or symbol, you earn a set multiplier, for example.

Spaces in the Bingo Betty demo consist of different numbers, colors, and symbols. The numbers represent points scored, while the colors green, red, yellow, and blue, as well as the circle, square, triangle, and cross symbols, also play a role. To be able to place a ball, it must match at least one of the listed attributes with the space you want to place it in on your bingo card.

With that said, there’s a chance to draw special balls in the Bingo Betty game that can alter the course of your run, like Blotter balls that apply an ability to a specific space, Shuffle balls that reroll everything on the playing card, and Lock balls that temporarily lock a space. However, you can’t choose what special balls you want to add to your deck or purchase balls like you can with unique dice in games such as Dice A Million.

The more you match, the more money you earn, but wild spaces accept any ball, allowing you to set up powerful combinations. When you draw balls in the Bingo Betty roguelike, you can hover over the balls you receive to view your placement options on your bingo card.

Between rounds, you will have the opportunity to acquire items that can boost your Bingo Betty gameplay combinations and help reach those ever-increasing point goals. On offer are free blotters to choose from, such as one that activates a random blotter effect when filled, another that awards money when filled, and more.

The money you accumulate from your run can be spent at the store to gain abilities. Items in the Bingo Betty demo reflect the kinds of objects you’d expect your grandparents to have stashed away, such as a Vintage Mink Stole that has a 25% chance of triggering a random slash on one space, Caramels that add 100 to all scores, and a Crossword Book that contributes a further 50 score to balls with crosses. The store can be rerolled, and you can upgrade and refill draws for a price.

To beat the Bingo Betty game, you must progress through all seven stages, each of which has four rounds, with the fourth round of each stage being a boss challenge. This means you must beat the set goal score of every round without running out of draws, and complete stage seven, round four, to declare yourself a roguelike bingo winner.

Who is the Bingo Betty developer?

The Bingo Betty developer goes by the name of Elias Austin. The developer has actively responded to player feedback by making multiple updates to the demo. This includes a major gameplay overhaul to how placing balls works, making runs more unpredictable. Notably, the system of only scoring through bingos and item effects replaced the previous mechanics of placing individual balls to score. The ability to save a ball between draws and rounds also went live, as did the ability to erase balls, ultimately allowing for more strategy amid the randomness of ball draws.

It has already been confirmed that the Bingo Betty demo will be part of Steam Next Fest, which kicks off on February 23, 2026. Therefore, more updates and features could be added to the game following the event.

When will Bingo Betty be released?

The Bingo Betty release date has yet to be confirmed, but it’s expected to fully launch in 2026. When the game does release, it will be playable on PC via Steam.

How long is the Bingo Betty demo?

The length of time it takes to complete the Bingo Betty demo is dependent on how many times you attempt and fail as you try to beat the goal score, which is raised with every round. The balls you draw are random, and you will be faced with different-sized bingo cards, so there is a lot to adapt to and luck to challenge.

Even if you beat the demo, Bingo Betty has plenty of replayability. The full Bingo Betty game will have six playable characters, over 150 passive items to experiment with on your run, 32 bingo cards, 30 scratch tickets to cash in, and 200 achievements to unlock.
