There’s something about exploring a post-apocalyptic wasteland in a video game, and the Fallout franchise is where any gamer would think of going if they were to scratch that particular itch. It’s even better if you’re the type who likes a bit of gambling thrown into the mix. Fallout 76 may not rank high among the franchise’s greatest hits, but it does bring a lot of cool additions to the table.

Chief among them is the Fallout 76 Atlantic City update, which is the focus of our guide since it comes with a few gambling options for you to indulge in. It’s a great option for those of you who’ve been asked to leave a casino once too often in other Fallout titles like New Vegas, or those of you who’ve been playing through each one of the franchise’s titles ahead of the live-action adaptation’s second season later this year.

Yes, but there’s a bit more to the story than meets the eye. The Atlantic City update made gambling in Fallout 76 possible thanks to the addition of a new location with a well-designed Casino Quarter. With a highly immersive take on the shores of Atlantic City, New Jersey, available for players to explore, this update features new story missions and side content for Fallout fans to discover, tying in well with the game’s meta-narrative while revealing more about the region’s history and its inhabitants.

It also introduced the Fallout 76 Casino Quarter, offering a few simple gambling games for players who wished to try their luck and earn some extra cash to spend on upgrades, gear, and other in-game items.

But what exactly can you do in this Fallout 76 update? Read on to learn more about the game’s gambling options in detail.

Atlantic City’s Casino Quarter Explained

This addition to the Fallout 76 map features several high-rise buildings and beautiful greenery that are in stark contrast to the many threats you will have to face as you navigate its streets. There are several points of interest for you to visit depending on your engagement with the game’s main story, but as far as gambling is concerned, there’s one main location that you should make a beeline for.

That location is Quentino’s Night Club, where the majority of Fallout 76 gambling options are located. Aside from gambling games, there are quite a few discoveries related to the story and side content tied to this location, making it a place that’s already in your character’s path if you’re playing the game to full completion.

As far as gambling options go, you could play slots, dice rolls, roulette, and place bets on mechanical horses. That’s a fairly limited set of options in comparison to other Fallout titles (we’re going to get to that in a minute), but you could choose to build your own Fallout 76 gambling machines right in your camp if you so desire.

How to build gambling games for your Fallout 76 camp

Getting your own versions of Fallout 76 Atlantic City gambling games in your camp involves either collecting the plans for casino games via paying through the Expedition, or purchasing from a vendor.

There’s even an option to add a Fallout 76 gambling table that lets you add Poker to the list of playable games. Just be diligent during your time in Atlantic City and hunt down every plan in order to be able to set things up at your camp. This lets you have a convenient way to play a few games and earn some extra cash as you continue exploring the game’s expansive open world.

You could even find other players to join in your search, considering that the Fallout 76 player count is quite high, with around 30,000-50,000 concurrent players across platforms reported as of September 2025. That’s partly due to a large surge thanks to the live-action adaptation’s debut back in April 2024.

Once you have the plans in hand, simply enter your camp’s build mode and select the plans from your inventory. You’re then on your way to having your very own Fallout slot machines right there in your camp for you to enjoy. There’s even a trophy in it for players who set up five casino games in their camp – an incentive to find them all if we ever saw one.

How does Fallout 76 gambling compare to Fallout: New Vegas?

The honest answer is that New Vegas is the better answer if gambling is all you’re looking to do during your time in either title. You could let our New Vegas gambling guide to gambling in that title’s unique take on Las Vegas help you decide between the two titles based on your preferences.

However, know that you get the option to play several Fallout table games that you simply cannot find in Fallout 76 if you decide to go with New Vegas.

Is gambling worth it in Fallout 76?

We would honestly recommend looking elsewhere if you’re looking for a gambling simulator that’s worth your time. New Vegas is definitely the better choice, and Fallout 76 is only worth the effort if you find yourself locked out of every casino in the Mojave Desert.

That’s because the rewards you can obtain from Atlantic City are definitely not worth the time you’d invest in playing at the Fallout 76 gambling tables. You also have more options at your disposal in New Vegas, along with better payouts and a more immersive experience to boot.

It’s a pity that 76 doesn’t feature a better selection of Fallout table games, but it is what it is. With that being said, it’s still a great game to play for its story and its ties to the franchise’s meta-narrative. Give it a go for its story and perhaps dive into a New Vegas save for a bit of gambling fun.
