Games Global launched into the iGaming space in 2022 and has now grown to have over 1,300 games and over 40 in-house and partnered studios. As the company’s content continues to expand, in more recent times, this has included collaborating with video game IPs.

Assassin’s Creed is next on the list, but since the announcement of a Games Global partnership with Ubisoft’s hit franchise back in February 2025, nothing has come to fruition. Amid that radio silence, we explore how Games Global could bring the Assassin’s Creed franchise to life, while remaining faithful to what makes the long-running series so popular.

Assassin’s Creed Slot Games Are Coming

The partnership with Games Global is expected to be a four-game deal that will give the company exclusive rights to the Assassin’s Creed IP, to create four story-driven slot games all about the franchise, and distribute them to the supplier’s partnering operators across the world.

When the Games Global and Assassin’s Creed partnership was unveiled, Chief Product Officer at Games Global, Andy Booth, showed promise, stating: “Ubisoft is a true pioneer in the entertainment industry and has cultivated a catalogue of household franchises in the video game sector. This partnership enables Games Global to deliver impactful content to players worldwide by combining the engaging lore of Assassin’s Creed with the strength of its iconic brand.”

Specific details on what the Assassin’s Creed slots could look like are still unknown. There has been no information beyond the initial announcement, meaning a release date for when these games will become playable is also uncertain.

Which Other Video Game-themed Slots Has Games Global Done?

In 2023, Games Global released a Lara Croft: Tomb of the Sun slot as a sequel to Lara Croft: Temples and Tombs, which was initially released in 2019 and is visually inspired by the highly popular Tomb Raider ‘Survivor’ trilogy of video games. Then, in October 2025, came a Lara Croft: Fortune of the Eclipse slot, set in a forgotten celestial city.

Elsewhere in the Games Global slots selection is one centered around Terminator 2. Its theme stays true to the iconic movie and video game franchises, seeing you team up with the Connors alongside their protective robot to save the world from Cyberdyne and the dangers of the robot apocalypse.

The addition of Assassin’s Creed slots would diversify the Games Global portfolio even further, due to the unique settings, characters, and ranging narratives the Assassin’s Creed franchise is known for. At the same time, this collaboration is another example of how video games are expanding their horizons into new territories while maintaining brand recognition in these new spaces.

Which Assassin’s Creed Games Would Make Good Slots?

So far, there have been a total of 15 Assassin’s Creed games since the franchise began in 2007. All Assassin’s Creed games would be viable options for Games Global to adapt, but some stand out from the crowd.

First of all, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla acts as a recreation of the ninth-century Viking-occupied England. Here you play as Eivor, a Viking raider and clan leader. Supporting the Viking theme is the ability to roam England’s countryside, sail the seas, raid riverside villages, and even fight in full-scale sieges against fortresses. Like any Viking, Valhalla has a brutal combat system with dual-wield axes, shields, and bows being just some examples of what you will wield as part of your arsenal. Games Global could incorporate the Viking setting either on land or at sea, or the clan battle mechanics that are at the heart of the game.

Elsewhere in the franchise and also set in the ninth century is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but this time, players are taken to Baghdad to follow the story of Basim. This title emphasizes stealth mechanics over all-out combat, with a whole host of tools at your disposal to help you take down targets and progress through the vibrant city. Mirage is a homage to the early days of Assassin’s Creed, staying true to the franchise, while the Middle Eastern setting could play a role in bringing Assassin’s Creed slots to life.

Moreover, Mirage will get a free Valley of Memory expansion on November 18, 2025. It contains six hours of new content in a new region, as well as a fresh story and side activities to play through. All of this could allow Games Global to develop an experience on the back of the latest Assassin’s Creed content.

Finally, how could we not mention Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag? Still regarded as one of the best Assassin’s Creed games, you’re placed in the shoes of Edward Kenway, an assassin and pirate captain who engages in naval combat in a Caribbean open world.

As you command your ship to become the deadliest pirate, you will battle against enemy crews, search ruins in the pursuit of treasure, loot underwater shipwrecks, and upgrade your own ship. Just having Edward Kenway as the face of a slot game is likely to make it instantly recognizable, while pirates and plundering could serve as an overarching theme.

Why Is Assassin’s Creed Still so Popular in 2025?

Assassin’s Creed games have significantly evolved, and continue to do so. What started as a relatively small stealth game has grown into a full-blown action-adventure. Its ability to bring the past to life allows players to traverse pivotal moments in history, but in a fully explorable, open-world format. Each title brings something new, not only in the form of a new story and setting, but also overhauled combat systems, captivating characters, parkour mechanics, and so much more.

Combining all Assassin’s Creed games, the franchise has sold over 230 million copies. This makes Assassin’s Creed Ubisoft’s best-selling video game series, so it’s unlikely that it will be going anywhere anytime soon.
